She launched her business built on her passion for knitting with beautiful, handcrafted and high quality fibres. She loved knitting and dying yarn and wanted to share her colour inspirations with other knitters. When it came time to present her work to potential customers, she realized she was one in a sea of hundreds.

Barb reached out to me needing a visual identity that positioned her business as professional, handcrafted, and inspired by the beautiful beach town she lives in.

I loved highlighting these aspects of South Beach Yarn Co.’s business through the juxtaposition of a clean, serif font and hand drawn illustrations. Beneath the text, a string of yarn loops as if onto knitting needles and subtly forms the shape of waves at the beach. The end result is an identity for Barb’s business that is professional, creative, soft and locally inspired.
