12 Oct Thankful
Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian readers! P went off to work this morning and I’m at home, reflecting on all of the things I’m thankful for on this beautiful Monday.
I’m thankful for Paul, and how he is always there of me and supporting me. I couldn’t even imagine what my life would look like without him in it. I’m thankful for my sister and my parents, and how we are dedicated to visiting and encouraging one another as often as we can. I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to travel this past year, and to have gone on a very special trip with my mom and my sister.
I’m thankful for our home. It is far from a perfect house, but it is a good house and is perfect for us right now. In our house, I’m thankful for many things, but our bed, internet and appliances top the list.
I’m thankful for Navi. Navi is our puppy, the newest member in our little family. Since I was in grade 1, my parents have had at least one dog in the house at all times. I love the companionship and loyalty that dogs can bring to a home, and after moving in with Paul we both missed our family dogs. We have been wanting a dog for some time now, and a week ago we brought Navi home. Having a puppy is not always the easiest, but she has already brought so much joy to our lives.
I’m thankful for the weather, and to live in a climate where I get to experience all seasons. Although this weekend has been beautifully warm, it is getting colder which makes me fully appreciate the warmer months. I’m also thankful for our neighbourhood and the many walking routes and trails I have had the pleasure of using for the past year.
