Simple Things

Simple Things

Back in August, if you were to ask me what my September would have looked like, I would have never dreamed it would be this busy. Busy good, and also busy frustrating. I landed a new job (yay!) which is a great creative outlet for me and I love what I do. P and I also decided it was time to dip our feet into the world of real estate, and it has been a crazy adventure with no luck yet.

The highlight of my month by far was Etsy Made in Canada on September 27. I was honoured to be a part of such a wonderful event surrounded by incredibly talented people. Meeting fellow vendors and customers and getting face-to-face feedback about my work was the most rewarding part of the day. I loved seeing people’s faces brighten from a quote or cute card and hearing how a specific quote or image made them think of a loved one or friend. I also debuted a new collection of cards which were a hit!  A huge thanks goes out to Jessica, our team leader for organizing the event, and to P, my parents and my sister.

I put in a lot of thought and effort into deciding which prints to bring of each size and how many. P helped me build parts of my display and massaged my aching hand after hours of printing, cutting, prepping and packaging. At the show, I was able to walk around and do some shopping for myself, where I treated myself to a set of screen printed coasters and a bath bomb. The next day, P and I went out for some celebratory thai food and after he went off to his night shift I treated myself to a relaxing bath. I couldn’t be happier with how the show went, and I will definitely be back next year!
