Simple Things

Simple Things

The days have been flying by and I can’t believe it’s mid-August already. P and I were able to take the long weekend together — with his schedule this rarely happens — and we decided to go back to our parents’ town. What I thought was going to be a hectic and rushed time (visiting with three families in one day) turned out to be a relaxing and fun weekend which was much needed. We were spoiled with family visits, love, games with friends, and home-cooked meals, including one of my favourite japanese meals.

I finally remembered to take my camera with me on one of my evening walks. Our neighbourhood has some of the prettiest and best-kept gardens. I have a soft spot for purple coneflowers since they always remind me of my mom and her beautiful gardens.

The past two weeks in particular, P and I have been making some big decisions for both us as a couple and my Etsy shop. Today marks the end of a three week struggle of us unexpectedly losing our car and finding a replacement within our needs that we are both happy with. For my shop, I’ve considered printing at home for a while now and have finally decided to take the plunge. I’m both excited and terrified at the new things I’ll learn and create with this new journey.

Have a wonderful weekend!
